The History of the ‘’speedster’’ found its roots back in the days when car-racing was brutal.
Long-Nosed sleek sport cars were built using Aeronautical techniques to create a body shape that pins like an arrow through the air. Engine sizes were increased and there was no roof or window to protect the driver from rain and wind, which gave the driver the ultimate feeling of freedom. The panoramic view, the harmony of engine performance combined with a perfect chassis and ultimate speeds – nothing gave those sportsmen more adrenaline than those Speedsters.
Drivers that took place behind the wheel felt immortal, chasing their dreams to become a champion. Women fell in love with those guys and even though they knew that the men, or some aged even that young they were still boys, might die during the pursuit of these dreams. But, they continued to compete, to race and to simply enjoy.
They say you can’t judge a Speedster or neither his driver by rational means.
Speedsters are the coolest, most pointless things you’ve ever seen. If it rains you’re gonna get wet, if it the sun is up for hours it will burn your skin. Their existence is all about drama and excitement.
Now, decades after the first Speedsters were fighting each other on the race track, we are proud to introduce to you the worlds first true nautical Speedster. It’s as close as you can get to the drama and excitement of the Speedsters on the track.
We kept the long-nose, the performance and panoramic view, though we skipped the possibility of ending dead.
We replaced Aeronautical for Hydrodynamic and for the girls…. Well, that’s up to you;)
Keeping the traditional dutch sloop DNA in mind creating a toy for the ultra rich, we also thought about when you’re not driving to have something sexy to look at. Speedsters are not new, but we reinvented them.
We crave a sense of occasion above all else.
